People Skills: Free-wheeling intelligence

Alistair Cooke said, “Curiosity is free-wheeling intelligence. It endows the people who have it with a generosity in argument and serenity in their own mode of life which spring from the cheerful willingness to let life take the forms it will.”

In the first film of Harry Potter – when Harry is getting his wand and each one brings a different response – the wand master after his shop is blown apart stops and says, “Curious, very curious –“ I love that part and it reminds me that we can choose to think in broad terms – free-wheeling intelligence!
