Getting up early – I lead a 5:15 call with a group of wonderful, committed and talented professionals – is a great way to begin the day with energy.
Whatever the topic, and this week it’s been energy, the individuals on the call bring their own views, opinions and stories about it to the call and it’s brilliant.
Thomas Fuller said, “The real difference between men is energy. A strong will, a settled purpose, an invincible determination, can accomplish almost anything; and in this lies the distinction between great men and little men.” –
This quote pretty much describes the people on the 5:15 call, strong willed, settled purposes and invincible determination (getting up early on a consistent basis is a decided choice) and it inspires me.
What inspires you? Surrounding ourselves with people who are talented and committed and nice rubs off on us, so the question today is, who are you surrounding yourself with – and is that okay with you?
Remember, you create your day by the way you think – and who you are around. Make it magnificent!

The People Skills Blog 
I recently made a very difficult decision; I broke-up with my girlfriend of many years. Did she change or did I? Neither one of us did; I just decided that I no longer wanted to accept certain behaviors. Although sad, it was not who I should have surrounding me. Since my decision, I am attracting different kinds of people. Inspiring people. People who are talented and ready and willing to give and receive help, and find joy in their journey. \
At the risk of sounding immodest, I am inspiring myself right now. In the meantime, developing a fun and motivated circle of acquaintances and friends.

Quite a few years ago I went through the same thing – just realized after an event that this friend and I had totally different values – which is okay – I now am blessed to have amazing people in my life and as clients and it’s giddy to know I am better because of these wonderful people.
