Do Your Best Each Moment

Yesterday was a true day off for me –

I rarely take them – usually still checking email, doing a bit of business reading, and as I write this I realized that even as I played at the lake with my eleven year old nephew I did indeed bring and read Inc. Magazine and the Business Journal too – aw well, it felt like a true day off because I did my best at playing and being.

And that’s what today is about – doing your best –

H.W. Dresser said this about the best, “Be true to the best you know. This is your high ideal. If you do your best, you cannot do more. Do your best every day and your life will gradually expand into satisfying fullness. Cultivate the habit of doing one thing at a time with quiet deliberateness. Always allow yourself a sufficient margin of time in which to do your work well. Frequently examine your working methods to discover and eliminate unnecessary tension. Aim at poise, repose, and self-control. The relaxed worker accomplishes most.”

I think that captures yesterday for me better – I was present, doing one thing at a time with no tension – laughing a lot – we put an inner tube around Elly our lab, and today I will take that same attitude to my work –

Today I will do my best at each endeavor and enjoy it too – how about you?

Remember, you create your day by the way you think. Make it magnificent!

Blessings, Shawna
