Are The Pictures in Your Mind Worth Viewing?

Philip Conley said, “Your imagination has much to do with your life. It pictures beauty, success, and desired results. On the other hand, it brings into focus ugliness, distress, and failure. It is for you to decide how you want your imagination to serve you.”

Is your imagination serving you well?

This was a wow quote for me – that my mind, my imagination directs my life. I know this and yet it’s easy to forget, take for granted, or poo poo it.

The goal it seems to me is to choose wisely – to think wisely – to imagine the best, to make the pictures in my mind worth viewing, reviewing and enjoying.

And goal is the right word – because it is something to strive for or seek – something to attain.

The good news is – I’m getting better at it and here’s how you can benefit too –

When driving – look past the cars and road to the land or architecture moving past you. Fields and farms, buildings and cities are really a marvel.

If you’re in a meeting – really feel the chair and carpet – think about the air-conditioning or heat – look at the window or at the art on the walls.

What we think about comes about – what are you imagining? Are you imagining the best or the worst, the beautiful or ugly – the good or the bad? The beauty of life is that we get to choose!

Remember You Create Your Day by the way You Think! Be Present!

Go make it a Magnificent Day!
