People Skills: Are you Listening to Yourself?

Albert Einstein – scientist, great mind and thinker said something interesting:

“The only real valuable thing is intuition.”

Intuition – which is our instinct, perception, insight and sixth sense – the Thesaurus also gives us these descriptions: hunch, feeling, inkling –

I like that word – inkling – reminds me of duckling, or weakling – something small – something to care for – and listen to – like our intuition.

In business some people would say it’s “The gut” and from the executives I coach I would say that’s right – and sometimes after consideration a matter is best left up to what your “gut” or intuition is telling you.

Can you tap into that today? Can you leave space in your schedule for a bit of inner dialog or to shut your eyes and listen to what your “gut” is saying? Of course that’s up to you.

My challenge to you this day – Listen to Einstein – who told us that intuition or our “gut” was the only real valuable thing –

Note: This is not a license to increase the size of your gut – at least I’m going to keep that in mind!

  1. Shawna,
Thank you for another week of profound insight. Your posts always give me pause and spur me to do more with my days than react to the world around me. Keep up the great posts. Janet
