People Skills: Purpose

This week the focus is purpose and I felt this was good for this last month of the year because it’s a time to spend in reflection – to ponder what we are about – what we have achieved or been accountable for this year – how we use our time and it that okay going into the future.

So purpose – your purpose is what we will think about this 48th week of the year.

Edward Bulwear-Lytton once said, “What men want is not talent, it is purpose; in other words, not the power to achieve, but will to labor. I believe that labor judiciously and continuously applied becomes genius.”

Think about that – labor judiciously and continuously applied becomes genius – that’s what they say about great artists – the ones you work at it – yes they have talent – and they use it. This is a great reminder for me – that I must keep applying my gifts – to improve them, use them – it’s a good call to action for all of us!

Today ask yourself – am I using my abilities to pursue a purpose and doing it judiciously and continuously? How can I do this better?

You Create Your Day by the way You Think! Be Present!

Go make it a Magnificent Day!
