People Skills: Key to include in notes

Since the notes I’m talking about are not necessarily thank you notes – though some people think that’s the only note to send – Let’s open our minds – think that this note – this power note is a gift – something the recipient will hold in their hand, cherish, keep, maybe show others.

With that intent – knowing that we want to make the recipient feel special, important – what is the key thing to include?

The recipient’s name

And not just in the salutation.

After your dear John intro  think to yourself – how can I personalize this note for extra power?

Dear John,

Your time is important. Our meeting yesterday was (fill in what happened great)

The insights you shared with me today John are more than I expected and will now be put into great use.

Or add their name to the end of the power note.

You are wonderful to work with John,

Or – The times you spent with me John will not go to waste

Sincerely or blessings or wishing you the best, Shawna

You create your day by the way you think. Make it magnificent!
