Put it on Naked Skin!

This week we went over a few pet peeves (irks) around grooming –

Smells – remember to carry mints and be aware – helps you and everyone around you!

Showing too much or inappropriate skin – and since the sun was out all week I saw even more examples of this! Yikes!

Face focus – checking to make sure you care for your skin there since it’s the focal point for most people.

Being your best as a goal – always a great reminder –

Today I want to give you a reminder – about fragrance –

If you wear fragrance (and I’m a person who hopes you do since I love good smells) put it on your naked skin for best effect.

When people complain that another is overpowering in their fragrance – it’s usually because the fragrance is on the clothing and so sits in the fibers or materials. When you put it on your naked skin two wonderful things happen – your clothing actually put a layer between the fragrance and outside noses – mutes it really – and the fragrance has the opportunity to work as your body heats up and you need it.

Putting it on your naked skin means someone would need to be really close to you to smell it – and that’s why we wear it – for those who get close – so our body heat is pleasant and attracting.

I know I have it right when the only time my husband tells me I smell great is when I’m wrapped in his arms for a hug and his mouth is close to my ear –

Friday Funny – this came in over the internet (of course)

Begin  by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty  of room at each side.

With a 5-lb potato bag in each hand, extend your  arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as  long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then  relax.

Each day you’ll find that you can hold  this position for just a bit longer. After a couple of  weeks, move up to 10-lb potato bags.

Then try 50-lb potato bags  and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a  100-lb potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight  for more than a full minute. (I’m at this level.)

After  you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each  bag.
