Non Verbal Communication

In the quest for Clear Communication (our theme this month) – it’s important to mention the non-verbal signals – this is also vital to clear communication.

We live on a farm – so the animals speak to us with non-verbal signals – except for Stewart, my little Papillion – he raises his voice if anyone comes to the house!

We understand exactly what our animals need if we watch and pay attention – I would encourage you to use the same ideas for your human relationships.

How to be open and engaged non-verbally?
• Open stance –
• Arms down rather than crossed –
• Head tilted to listen –
• Eyes on the person speaking –
• Being present – with your focus on the other person and your energy directed

With non verbal communication we signal alert attention – also we can build trust.

Be like a dog today in your non verbal communication: wag your tail at people and let them know you are happy to see them!
