A week of systems

Monday: Systems for success
This week we will be going over systems for success in your life – to create your ultimate life one day, one system at a time.

We’ve all set up systems in our lives – most of us don’t think about them and how them define us, how they produce results (or not) and how much control we have over our systems or routines –

Remember a system is: 1. Complex whole formed from related parts, 2. Set of principles, 3. Way of proceeding – and that’s living!

This first day of this 3rd week of this month is about: Night time systems

Here are a few things I’ve learned from others – of course I am open and encourage learning new things from you!
Set a time: Maybe an hour before you’re going to head to bed – maybe 3 hours, depending on your system to: Stop consuming: food, drink, popular media (TV, internet, email – things that are reactionary)

Set up some wind down time – how long… what to do… up to you:
Ideas:
Shower or water on your face – washing –
Brush your teeth and Floss

Prep your Bed– for body relaxation: Think of the 5 senses: touch – soft sheets, warm up the bed with electric blanket… spray some linen freshener or air freshener, dim the lights, put on some soft soothing music –

Prep your mind: Reading/writing or thinking… what? How about what you are grateful for this day… the good things that happened – or ask for guidance over night –

Before sleep setting your intention: “I will awake energized and refreshed.” Or “Tomorrow is a new day – I will embrace it with joy!” or “I am so happy and grateful that each day in every way I’m getting better and better.”
Last idea; Some night time meditation – listening to a CD or your ipod – to something to ease your mind and lull you to sleep with excellent thoughts –

Your night time system is designed by you – or it was designed by your parents, or your school mates or your married mate – when you sleep, how late you stay up – what you do prior to bed –
Is that still okay with you?

If your current system is not the best – today is a fine day to adjust, refine and re-design.
