Revealing the truth

Our last quote on truth is from Winston Churchill – who said, “Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened.”

55 word story: The Truth is Found
by Michael W. Taylor

The truth is found in curious places. In a bar, a drunk was espousing what he believed true. Another drunk responded, “Belief comes before truth.” Beer glass held high, he continued, “I believe by dropping this glass, it’ll break. To know the truth, I must let go.” To the bartender’s displeasure, truth was revealed.

And speaking of truth coming from the mouths of children – here is your joke of the week:

When a woman discovered that she was pregnant, her four-year-old son overheard his parents’ conversation. But he didn’t say anything until a week later when a family friend asked him if he was excited about the prospect of a new brother or sister. “Yes,” said the boy, “and I know what we’re going to name it. If it’s a girl, we’re going to call her Emily, and if it’s another boy we’re going to call it Quits.”
