You are never too old to dream

Our final quote this week is from CS Lewis, one of my favorite authors. He gave us the last quote on dreams for this week when he said, “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”

Lately Don and I have been discussing where we want to travel in our lifetime – places we want to experience before we leave this earthly plain – and it’s felt a little limiting – of course no one knows how long they will live.

This exercise has done some incredible things, helped us define what is important and figure out ways to do the things we want.
It’s also made it kind of easy to say – will we want to build another house from the dirt up like we did this one? Like it’s going to be hard – and then I’m reminded from CS Lewis, that I’m never to old, that dreams are not the realm of age, they are the realm of imagination and that part of us does not age

Friday funny:

Three convicts escape from prison. They make it to a nearby town but are confronted by a policeman.

“Hey, aren’t you those three escaped convicts?”, asked the policeman.

Thinking on his feet the first convict looked around him and said “no, I’m Mark, Mark Spencer.”

“The second followed his lead and said “My names is William, W H Smith.”

The third said “My name is Ken… Ken Tuckyfriedchicken!”

And an extra for fun:

Why do seagulls fly over the sea?

Because if they flew over the bay, they’d be called bagels!
